Check this page frequently for updated links to Russian language sites that can help with direct experience of the language (TV and radio stations) or provide explanations and exercises that will support your learning.

The first link is to John Langran's excellent site for all things Russian: Ruslan. John is the co-author and publisher of the Ruslan series we use on our courses. It is hardly an exaggeration to say that he has done more than any other individual to keep interest in Russian language teaching and learning in the UK alive for many years.

Language guide is a great source of sound files for building up vocabulary, learning spelling and pronunciation. Grouped by theme, these sound files only require you to move your mouse over what to hear and you can listen to them over and over again. This is a good way to listen carefully to a native speaker pronouncing words for you to copy. Pay attention especially to the numbers as you need them every time you go shopping when you're in Russia or a country where Russian is used and understood.
